Lil Pumpkin Baby Shower

My mom hosted a baby shower for me on Oct. 23rd. We had a fall/pumpkin themed shower. I feel like we are becoming "green" because this is the third event we've used these decorations for in a year. I love fall so it's the perfect theme in my opinion. Travis and I went to my parent's church for the shower. We had the best appetizers ever. I got all my favorites cocktail weenies, sausage balls, and chicken tenders. One of my mom's friends made these little pumpkin balls that taste just like a Reese's Cup!!!! We had the the most adorable pumpkin shaped cookies with Micah's initials on them and baby themed cupcakes.

Now for the downside of baby showers....

I haven't decided if pregnancy suits me or I'm an absolute fat ass!!! Some ladies know how to word things just right to keep you wondering. Here's a few things I heard Sunday:

Are you sure there isn't another one in there?
You're carrying too high to have a boy!
I can't believe you still have two months to go! (Your eyes must bulge out of your head when you say this.)
Oh my!!! (Once again with the eye bulge)


Thank you to all the ladies who told me I was all belly or that pregnancy suits me. I could hear that all day:)
Micah got tons of goodies. The most hilarious was when we opened a gift with girl clothes in it. HILARIOUS!!!! I have tons of cute clothes and blankets to wash this week. We made major bank in the gift card department. My parents even got Micah a Starbucks gift card!!! I think mommy and daddy will need that first.

Daddy's Home!!!!

I've been a little occupied since my hubby got home Sunday. Travis had been in Pennsylvania since June. I made a few trips up there to see him, but it's not the same as having him home. It was so exciting to show him Micah's nursery and all of his little clothes... which I've been informed that I can't buy anymore. Then the Honey Do List began. Travis has put together a swing, bassinet, and a hundred other things. I'm sure he will be glad to not see a screwdriver for a long time.

I'm so glad that I get to spend the rest of my pregnancy with my Babe by my side. He has missed alot but there is still so much we have to look forward to. We have our first baby shower Sunday. I can't wait!!!

I'm now 31 weeks pregnant. Seriously!?! Where does the time go? I'm still LOVING pregnancy. Even though my feet and ankles are swollen so much we call them elephant feet. Travis has alot of  foot rubs to make up for.

Pumpkins Make Me Smile

I had SO MUCH fun yesterday. It killed me not to post last night but I was wore out after taking pics for 4 hours!!! Miss Brittany Sisk with Inspired Life Photography took fall maternity photos for me. I absolutely love fall. I couldn't resist having my belly painted like a pumpkin. I have been telling Travis I wanted to do this before I was even pregnant.  We went all over Asheville. I can now say I have been naked outside the Biltmore House and found someone just as terrified of snakes as me. Poor Brit made some new friends when she moved a bale of straw. YUCK!!! I can not wait to see all the pics. Here is a sneak peak:)

Stretching My Happiness

This actually happened last night but I'm just now taking a break from the nursery. I discovered my first stretch mark(s)!!!!!!!!!  I know they kinda come with territory of pregnancy but I was hoping I would be one of the lucky ones that it doesn't happen to. I was on the phone with Travis during my discovery and totally lost it. I'm talking crocodile tears. I've heard that stretch marks are kind of hereditary. If that's the case I'm screwed!?! So I'm a little bummed right now. I'm so worried it's going to change how Travis looks at me or finds me pretty. This should so be the least of my concerns right now. Let's blame it on pregnancy hormones.

On a happy note.... I have a pumpkin belly shoot later on today. I will be meeting Brittany Sisk with Inspired Life Photography in Asheville. I ABSOLUTELY love fall and just had to have my belly painted like a pumpkin. Thank goodness the paint will cover my new little discovery:)

I'm "Officially" A Blogger!!!

I absolutely have no clue what I'm doing on here but here goes nothing. I'm in baby info overload mode and just have to get it out somewhere. I feel like I have learned so much yet I'm still terrified to hold someone's baby.

As of today I'm 29 weeks pregnant and have loved every minute of it. Yes, I'm one of those annoying people.Thank goodnes I like to puke because I was having some awesome puking parties up until a few weeks ago and occassionally still do. This week was my last monthly OB appointment. I can't believe I go every two weeks now. According to the bump.com I have 77 days left of pregnancy:( Where did the time go?

This week I have been getting Micah's nursey ready. I can't wait for it to be completely done. It is taking me way longer than I thought it would. I literally call friends and get advice on how to organize his clothes!?! I haven't worked in there at all today and it's killing me. I must go in there and do something before I go to bed.
